MANUFACTURING

Our manufacturing process combines traditional know-how with the most efficient modern technology.

Nylon and polyethylene twines are braided on ultra-modern machines, and our netting is laced on state-of-the-art weaving looms.

The netting is then treated in wet vapour at 110°C. to 130°C. under high pressure in our autoclave. This process, developed by our team of engineers, perfectly tightens the knots and homogeneously stabilises the meshes. Our autoclave treatment considerably reduces the shrinking of the meshes in the water.

INNOVATION

Products designed to reduce costs

As part of a continuous drive to meet the ever changing needs of the market, Le Drezen has developed several types of braided twines :

Brezline : Compact braided PE twine
Offers better resistance to abrasion than standard PE.

BrezTop : High Tenacity braided PE twine
This twine allows the use of smaller diameters while still offering the same resistance to abrasion as standard green PE, thus diminishing drag and helping to reduce fuel consumption.

"Beamer" Nylon : Very compact braided nylon twine
Our "Beamer" nylon twine offers great resistance to abrasion. Furthermore, its compactness reduces the penetration of dirt and sediment.

Polysteel : Polypropylene of the new generation.
30% more resistant than a classic PP of equal diameter and runnage.

Optimize the performance of your fishing gear

Because we work closely with the end-users of our products we are able to adapt the design of our fishing gear. To help this constant evolution, our R&D team use powerful software programmes : our own digital simulation programme for tuna purse seines, "Planchal" and the "Dynamit" software for trawl digital simulation.

This computer technology allows us to study the behaviour of the nets in various fishing conditions before they are made. In this way the design can be optimised and the gear is manufactured according to the type of fishing and the particular needs of the end-user.
