It was in the early nineties that Le Drezen started to take an interest in the Scottish market.
The demand for Le Drezen products grew so much that, in order to provide a better service for its Scottish customers,
the company decided to set up a warehouse in Fraserburgh in 1994. Le Drezen UK is a French business which depends directly
from the headquarters in Le Guilvinec, France.
The Fishing Industry :
The company now enjoys a solid reputation among Scottish fishermen. Le Drezen was able to tailor its products and
services to meet the demands of the market. The BrezLine range, which is now known throughout the world, is a good
example of this ability to adapt. The North Sea fishing grounds have a very hard seabed where standard green PE netting,
whose resistance to abrasion is weak, has a limited life. So Le Drezen designed the BrezLine which, thanks to a
particular production process, offers a greater resistance to abrasion. At the beginning, this product was used in the codends and for the reinforcing strips of the trawl nets.
Now many fishermen order trawl nets made entirely with Brezline.
At our Fraserburgh warehouse we keep in stock a wide range of standard products :
On request we also supply Dyneema, Polysteel and braided or twisted nylon netting.
Please contact us for any other product.
We deliver ourselves daily to the harbours in Fraserburgh and Peterhead, and on request to Aberdeen.
We also send goods all over Britain (delivery time is 2/3 working days depending on the area).
Industry :
SAFETY NETS (for Building and Civil Engineering)
Safety nets provide a suitable and economical way to catch persons or objects falling from a height. They are used :
- in construction and assembly work during the building of halls and bridges
- as side protection on buildings under construction
- as side protection around safety platforms
- horizontally as full-arrest devices in open-line construction on roofs and on working scaffolds.
Our nets comply with the European Standard EN 1263-1 and are made exclusively from nylon.
Thanks to its elasticity, nylon is a material which offers excellent shock absorption
compared to the other materials, such as polypropylene, which are more commonly used in this industry.
We offer 2 types of nets manufactured in compliance with the European Standard :
- Type A 2 : Twine reference LD 452 (nylon diam. 4,5 mm)
- 100 mm mesh
- Type B 1 : Twine reference LD 452 (nylon diam. 4,5 mm)
- 60 mm mesh
Our nets comply with the European Standard EN 1263-1 and carry the CEBTP logo (French research and study centre for Building and Civil Engineering).
Safety nets for off-shore oil rigs : High Tenacity black Nylon
These nets are made using the same manufacturing process as our white nylon nets and were developed especially for the offshore industry.
Their aim is to allow oil rig technicians safe access to difficult areas without having to install scaffolding.
Using safety nets instead of scaffolding presents considerable advantages :
- Thanks to their plastic deformation capacity, safety nets cushion a fall.
- Their installation is quick which saves on man-hours and therefore on labour costs
- The nets are pliable and require less storage space
- This system is very flexible and can be adapted to most sites
