Here are a few examples of "false economies" that can lead to a reduction of a year or more in the use of your seine net, on the one hand, and considerably increase the maintenance costs that will be added to the purchase price of a seine net, on the other:

  1. Use a more "fragile" standard braid to save just €1,500 on the purchase price.
  2. Use partially or totally a rope with different elongation and strength properties.
  3. Change seine size during its lifetime
  4. Use a maintenance assembly other than the one recommended.
  5. Use nets with different strength characteristics.
  6. Adding ballast weight with chain, for example, has very little effect on your seine's sink rate.

Our aim is to offer the most reliable equipment for optimized catches while reducing operating costs.

The seine net is made up mainly of textiles, the balance of which is scientifically calculated. Every change in its composition, size and weight represents a risk of damage and premature wear. At Le Drezen, each component is selected and assembled using techniques that guarantee maximum seine life without damage. It's this balance of materials that we offer at Le Drezen.
