For a century, Le Drezen, a netting manufacturer, has been designing and manufacturing high-performance fishing equipment in France. This historic expertise makes Le Drezen a leading multi-sector industrial player providing tailor-made solutions for a wide range of industries. We control the entire production chain and offer reliable, durable solutions adapted to the requirements of professionals worldwide.
Values
The core values of the industrial company Le Drezen, manufacturer of netting, fishing gear, and various devices, are built around several key pillars:
Operational Excellence
Le Drezen is recognized for its multi-sector expertise and its controlled production chain, ISO 9001 certified since 2023. This certification guarantees consistent quality at every stage, from design to delivery, and reflects their commitment to excellence and performance for their partners.
Innovation and Sustainability
The company is committed to ecological transition, particularly through the collaborative project LincBiomer, which develops a range of biodegradable ropes, twines, and nets (DREZBIO). It continuously adapts to the evolving needs and constraints of its customers by offering innovative and sustainable solutions, while maintaining “made in France” production
Adaptation and Modernity
Since 1929, Le Drezen has evolved with the times, integrating new techniques to optimize fish capture and boat stability, while remaining a structural player in the fishing industry.
Le Drezen combines tradition, innovation, quality, and environmental commitment to build a more sustainable and high-performance future.
Innovations
Innovation is at the heart of Le Drezen’s strategy. We anticipate market developments, regulatory requirements, and environmental expectations. Le Drezen is committed to working alongside you for responsible, sustainable, and innovative fishing.
Research and development are part of a continuous improvement process, in partnership with fisheries research institutes and laboratories specializing in technical textiles.
Faced with environmental challenges and criticism related to trawling, we have developed high-performance and environmentally friendly equipment: escape panels, T90 mesh, and codends certified to comply with environmental and biodiversity standards.
Le Drezen also leads structural projects for the ecological transition of fishing, such as the HYBA project aimed at reducing vessel fuel consumption, and the LINC BioMer project, dedicated to the development of biodegradable nets, yarns, and ropes at sea.
Missions
Le Drezen, a manufacturer of netting, cables, and professional equipment, has always structured its development around strong missions in the service of performance and sustainability.
The primary mission is the manufacture of netting and the design of highly reliable technical devices. Historically specialized in knotted nets for professional fishing — tuna seines and trawls — Le Drezen has progressively diversified its expertise into other demanding sectors: industrial applications, environmental installations such as biogas units, safety, leisure, aquaculture, and maritime activities.
Innovation and sustainable development constitute a major focus. The company is involved in structural projects like the LINC BioMer program, dedicated to the development of biodegradable nets and ropes, as well as the integration of recycled materials to meet contemporary ecological challenges.
Le Drezen also develops fully customized solutions, adapted to the specific needs of clients from various sectors. ISO 9001 certified since 2023, the company relies on the engineers in its Design Office to create high-value-added technical devices: St. Andrew’s Crosses for the periodic closure of airport runways, anti-drone protection nets, protection systems for tidal power plant turbines, as well as specific equipment such as the exclusive supply of rigging cables for the series of
sailing cargo ships for TOWT, Grain de Sail, and VELA shipping companies.
Offering the true cost of use is at the heart of the Le Drezen model. Operational excellence and dedicated expert teams for each segment ensure equipment is designed to maximize service life. This approach aims to offer some of the lowest depreciation and operating costs on the market, respecting the economic interests of partners and clients.
Finally, as part of the global WireCo group, Le Drezen benefits from an international dimension and an expanded catalog including many equipment ranges, notably technical ropes, high-performance fibers like Dyneema, and steel cables mostly produced within the group’s factories. In addition to WireCo industrial productions, additional equipment, such as chains specifically developed to specifications, are marketed under the Le Drezen brand.

Our development has led us to support all segments of the fishing industry, and then to expand our skills into other industrial sectors, while maintaining our roots in France.
Our membership in the WireCo group now strengthens our industrial capacity and international presence, while preserving our identity and professional expertise.
Building on our experience, we continue to innovate to create sustainable solutions and prepare for the future of the industries we support.
